Biography: FX Harsono Born 1949

Born in Blitar, East Java – Indonesia. Lives and works in Jakarta – Indonesia.

Education 1969 – 1974 Studied painting at STSRI ‘ASRI’, Yogyakarta – Indonesia.

1987 – 1991 Studied at IKJ (Jakarta Art Institute).

Professional Experience 1985 – 1997 Lecturer at the Faculty of Art and Design, IKJ (Jakarta Art Institute).

2005 – 2013 Lecturer at the Faculty of Art and Design, Pelita Harapan University, Tangerang – Indonesia.

Story: Tells a story from ancient times where it was very difficult for Chinese people living in Indonesia to get identity documents. Therefore the difficulty is depicted with a crown of thorns. Where the feeling of difficulty is like wearing a crown of thorns.
