Symbolically reversed, the title ‘Kartsba’ which is the reverse of ‘Abstrak’ (abstract), brought forth the historical significance of the formation of abstract art in the history of Indonesia’s cultural reforms.

This show displayed 16 leading Indonesia modern abstract artists who have contributed significantly to the country’s artistic legacies, answering many questions of the current shape of Indonesia’s abstract art.
